In the 1980’s I had no interest in Computers: they were still the preserve of business users or the very rich. A relative of mine worked at the Nixdorf factory in Bray, Ireland. Over the years he came by many bits and pieces and handed them on to me. In the 00’s I rediscovered them, to my delight, up in my attic! Sadly, this particular plant closed in 1991 - on the very day that the Gulf War ( 1 ) was announced. Bray lost it’s biggest employer. A couple of years later, Dell took over the plant.
